Platteville Senior Organization

The Platteville Senior Organization hosts events and activities for citizens ages 60 and over.

Nutrition Program

Every Monday and Friday the Weld County Senior Nutrition Program provides lunch for seniors at the Community Center, 508 Reynolds Avenue. A $4 donation is suggested but all are welcome regardless of ability to pay.

To make lunch reservations, call Janet Torres by 10:00 am on the Thursday of the week before you plan to attend.

Meals are also available Tuesday evenings during the summer.   View a schedule of Friendly Fork meals here, and track nutritional values of those meals as well, if you need to.

Free Activities and Events

The seniors also schedule a variety of activities and events for low or no cost. Some of these activities include:
  • Shopping / appointment / errand transportation
  • Casino outings*
  • Knitting / crochet afternoons
  • Dinners out*
  • Movies, plays or other presentations*

    *meals and entertainment paid by participant
