PLATTEVILLE MIZPAH CEMETERY

The Platteville Mizpah Cemetery is the oldest public cemetery in Weld County. Prior to 1926, the cemetery was originally called the Sandhill Cemetery. In 1926, the cemetery was renamed Mizpah Cemetery.

Platteville, one of the oldest communities in Weld County, occupies land that was once the hunting grounds of nomad tribes and Cheyenne Indians. It is located on the east bank of the South Platte River and enjoys a rich history vital to the development of the region.
