The Public Works Department maintains Town streets, water, sewer, parks, and Mizpah Cemetery. A list of services provided by the Public Works Department include but are not limited to: maintaining Town sprinkling systems, the opening and closing of the graves, oversees the mowing and the trimming of Town grass, the playground and park equipment, sewer treatment plant, takes monthly sewer samples, checks and maintain lift stations and the sewer system, sweeps and improves streets, curbs, gutters, and street signs, implements the water distribution system, reads and maintains the water meters, and fixes water leaks.

 

OVERSIZE/OVERWEIGHT PERMITS

Oversize/Overweight permits can be obtained on the website or at Town Hall. We require 48 hours notice before they are approved. For more information, please contact David Brand, the Public Works Director at (970)785-2245 x. 1300 or Troy Renken, the Town Manager at (970)785-2245 x. 1102.

SPRING CLEAN UP DAYS

Spring Clean Up Days will be held on Friday, April 26th and Saturday, April 27th from 8:00am until 3:00pm for UTILITY CUSTOMERS ONLY. It has been postponed from the prior weekend due to Inclement Weather. Located at the Sewer Lagoon at 15350 WCR 23.5, east of the Rodgers Farm Subdivision. Cost is $5.00 per axel. Payment will not be accepted at the event, instead it will be billed to the following month's utility bill. Please bring a copy of your water bill and valid ID. 

Accepted Materials: Yard Waste, Tree Limbs, Leaves, Weeds, Furniture, Some Construction Materials, Hazardous Materials (Old Gas, Oil, Pesticides, Paint, Small Propane Tanks, Aerosol Cans, Batteries, Vehicle Fluids).

Unaccepted Materials: Tires, Electronics (TVs, DVD Players, Stereos, Etc.), Freezers, Some Construction Materials, Refrigerators, Air Conditioners, Loose Dirt.

WATERING RESTRICTIONS

No watering between the hours of 9:00 am and 7:00 pm. Stage 1 watering restrictions begin April 1st. Addresses ending with even numbers (0, 2, 4, 6, 8) will water on Sundays and Thursdays. Addresses ending with odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) will water on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Watering Hours are from 7:00pm and 9:00am and are strictly enforced.
