The code enforcement officer reviews, investigates and enforces ordinances established by the Town Board. The code enforcement officer also handles animal control.
All dogs within the Platteville town limits are required a Town of Platteville dog license. To obtain the license, bring proof of the rabies vaccination and/or alteration to the Platteville Town Hall. Spayed or neutered dogs license fee is $10.00 each per year, all others are $25.00 each per year. Dog licenses expire December 31st of every year. Residents are required to purchase a dog licence by March 31st of each year. Click here for the Dog License form.
All cats are required to have a rabies vaccination.
The Platteville Police Department has a holding facility for stray dogs that have been picked up. If you have lost your dog, please contact the Platteville Police Department at: (970) 785-2215
