August 20-22, 2010 "Remember When in 1910"
Harvest Daze celebrated its 100th year.
 

Friday, August 20th

Furry Vengeance


Harvest Daze began with a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Platteville Public Library and Platteville Museum on Friday night followed by bounce houses, games for the kids, burritos, refreshments and popcorn, and the movie "Furry Vengeance" in Lincoln Park.

Saturday, August 21st

Saturday's events will began with the VFW Breakfast at 7:00 am and the Fun Run/Walk Race sponsored by the South Valley Middle School at 8:00 am.

The parade was ushered in by 4 Russian Yak airplanes.

The various events at Riverview Park were a huge success.

There was a rotating pairs volleyball tournament located at the Platteville Panther Park/Community Center beginning at 1:00 pm and at 4:00 pm a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament at the South Valley Middle School basketball court.


After the scheduled events in Riverview park, things were relocated to the Platteville Panther Park / Community Center at 508 Reynolds Avenue where "The Brew Band" performed and the horseshoe tournament got under way.

Dinner was served by Mead Pizza Plus and the
St. Nicholas Catholic Church sponsored the beer garden.

The Muttin' Bustin' sponsored by K & O Realty and
Kline Horseshoeing began at 7:00 pm.

The street dance with "The Mad Cow Posse Band" began at
7:00 pm with the fireworks displayed at dark.

 

 

Sunday, August 22nd
The 1 Pitch Co-ed Softball tournament ended the 100th Year Harvest Daze Celebration.

There is a limited quantity of Harvest Daze cookbooks available at the Platteville Town Hall. The price for the cookbook is $10.00.
