NOTICE OF CANCELATION OF REGULAR ELECTION

The Town of Platteville Regular Municipal Election scheduled for April 6, 2010 has been cancelled.  Whenever the only matter before the voters is the election of person to the positions of the Board of Trustees and Mayor and there is not more than one (1) candidate per seat to be filled, the Town Clerk, if instructed by Resolution of the Town Board either before or after such date, shall cancel the election and by said resolution declare the candidates elected. In the case of the April 6, 2010 Municipal Election, the Town received petitions from only one person for each position of Town Board Member and Mayor. The Town Board approved a Resolution 2010-09 at its regular meeting on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 cancelling the Platteville Regular Municipal Election that was scheduled to be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2010.

The next regular election for the Town of Platteville  will be in April of 2012.
